The Ministries of Finance of the member states of the Federal Government of Somalia have stopped all cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of the Federal Government.
In a press release issued by the Minister of Finance of the Regional Governments, it was said that the Minister of Finance FGS has sided with the constitution of the country and the agreements of the last four years that the Ministry of Finance FGS and the member states have been working together.
The Head of Programs in the Information Department of the Puntland Ministry of Finance, Ayuub Hudeyfi, who shared the press release, noted that this decision came after the Somali Finance Minister finalized the agreements reached on the distribution of financial donations from the international community.
“The new Minister of the Ministry of Finance of the Federal Government, has bypassed the agreements of the past years working together with the Ministries of Finance at the Federal level and at the Regional government level. So until the Minister returns to implement the agreements, there will be no cooperation,” said Ayub Hudeyfi.
